easyJet to Fly to Dalaman
easyJet, the famous no frills airline, is in the process of buying the GB Airlines franchise from British Airways and has, of today, taken over the booking and operation of their routes. Included in these routes is the London Gatwick – Dalaman flight which has been operating for around 2 years. easyJet will begin their flights on 31 March this year and continue until 26 September according to their current timetable. Unlike GB airlines that just operated twice weekly flights, easyJet will be expanding to provide up to five flights per week during the busy summer holiday period. During April there will be 2 flights per week on Monday and Friday. In May 3 flights per week Monday, Thursday and Friday. Then at the end of May there will be a flight every weekday right through until the end of September. One-way fares from Gatwick to Dalaman have been advertised as costing from £44.99 one-way. However, we found prices ranged from £31.99 on Wednesday 18 August to £174.99 at peak flying times. Our quick test showed that Wednesday was the cheapest day to fly in almost all cases. easyJet’s pricing structure means that prices will no doubt increase the later bookings are left. Of course, being a no frills airline means that extra charges must be added to these base prices. There is a £3.99 charge per item of luggage put in the hold. Additional bags cost £3.99 per item but the total weight of all the individual bags cannot exceed the 20kgs limit without incurring an excess baggage charge of £6.00 per Kilo. Payment charges include a credit card surcharge of 1.95% (minimum of £4.95) but debit cards are £1.50 per transaction.
Opera Singers are in Fethiye…
The singers of İzmir State Opera and Bale Group got the stage at the party which was organized for honour of 24th November, Teacher”s day. The people who watched the concert which was organized by the Private Ata Primary School fascinated. Private Ata Primary school teachers, students their families and citizens came to watch this concert where was in Fethiye Municipality, Culture Centre on Friday. Singing of Soprano Burcu Kılıç and Bariton Altuğ Dilmaç got big claps from spactators. Before concert, a thanks Plaque was given to each joiners and School Manager, Emel Karaca felicitated 24th November, Teacher”s Day of all teachers at her speech.
Controlling of Internet Cafes!..
Fethiye town Police Station Public peace office teams and Fethiye Municipal Police team go on to control internet cafes in Fethiye. In Karaçulha and çalıca area, the owners were warned not to allow the students to the cafes during the school time. And the polices checked all the computers to be valid or not. During the controlls, the children who most of them are students were taken out. The policemen warned the students not to come to the internet cafes during the school time. On the other hand, it is learned that the controlls will go on along the week.
A New Kaymakam for Fethiye
Fethiye Kaymakam Hasan Karakaş has been assigned to the city of Fatih in Istanbul. A total of 377 Deputy Governors and Kaymakams from the urban and rural organizations of the Ministry of Interior have been reassigned to new locations. With this decision, Hasan Karakaş, Kaymakam of Fethiye for the last 4.5 years, has been appointed as Kaymakam to the city of Fatih in Istanbul. Kaymakam Karakaş, during the 4.5 years of duty in Fethiye, spent a great deal of effort for the promotion of Fethiye. Bursa”s Nilüfer city Kaymakam, Mehmet Ali Karatekeli has been appointed as Fethiye”s next Kaymakam. It is expected that Hasan Karakaş, the Kaymakam of Fethiye for the past 4.5 years, will be starting his new duties as Kaymakam of Istanbul, Fatih, within the next days, and Mehmet Ali Karatekeli, the new Kaymakam of Fethiye, will be starting his. The duties of Hasan Karakaş, Fethiye Kaymakam since October 10th, 2003, have officially ended with the publication of the decision in the Official Gazette. Kaymakam Karakaş will continue his duties in Fatih, Istanbul. Before his appointment to Fethiye, Karakaş had served as Deputy Kaymakam of Mecitözü, Kaymakam of Kahramanmaraş – Pazarcık, Kaymakam of Şanlıurfa – Suruç, Deputy Governor of Siirt, Kaymakam of Safranbolu and Kaymakam of Iznik – Nizip. he attended vocational studies and training in the U.S.A. during 1990 – 1991. Karakaş, serving in Fethiye since October 10th, 2003, has been appointed as Kaymakam to Fatih, Istanbul, as a result of the decision published in the Official Gazette. Bursa, Nilüfer Kaymakam Mehmet Ali Karatekeli is expected to take the seat vacated by Kaymakam Karakaş. 49 years old and born in Ankara, Kaymakam Karatekeli is expected in Fethiye within the next few days.
UNDER AND OVER PASSES AT THREE POINTS
The Mayor of Fethiye, Behçet Saatçı, and the members of the Municipal Council surveyed newly constructed and renovated roads in Fethiye. They inspected some of the pavement work. Together with the Director of Technical Services, Mayor Behçet Saatçı briefed the council members, explaining that 30% of the avenues and roads in Fethiye were being paved with asphalt, saying, “Work is also continuing on the laying of the parquet stones on half of these roads.” Mayor Behçet Saatçı further commented that all the roads would be paved to eliminate clouds of dust so the ladies would be able to hang up their laundry at their balconies. The Mayor also stated that a project was started to have under and over passes built at the Mugla Junction, at the Ovacik Bridge and at the junction of the previous State Hospital, adding, “These pasees will definitely be constructed.”
FETHIYE COURTHOUSE ACTIVATED WITH TELECONFERENCE SYSTEM
The courthouses in Fethiye, Milas. Bodrum, Ortaca and Marmaris were activated simultaneously with the teleconference system by the Minister of Justice, Mehmet Ali Şahin. The ribbon at the opening ceremony of the Fethiye Courthouse was cut by the Governor of Fethiye, Mehmet Ali Karatekeli; the Prosecuting Attorney, Akif Celalettin Şimşek; the Chairman of the Justice Commission, Devlet Demirbilek; The Garrison Commander of Gendarmerie, Major Halil Özçelik; the Director of Draft Office, Mayor Fatih Yılmaz Ezicioğlu and other officials.
The foundations of the Fethiye Courthouse were laid in March, 2006, and the construction was completed within a year, at a cost of 4.5 million YTL. During the opening ceremony everyone stood to attention and sang National Anthem.
Talks were delivered by the Prosecuting Attorney, Devlet Demirbilek, and the Governor of Fethiye, Mehmet Ali Karatekeli, while the ceremony was followed on the television through the teleconference system established with Bodrum and the message of Mehmet Ali Şahin, the Minister of Justice, was relayed. As the Minister addressed the participants in Fethiye, the Fethiye Prosecuting Attorney, Akif Celalettin Şimşek, responded briefly, expressing his good wishes. The cake inscribed with good wishes was cut by the Prosecuting Attorney, Akif Celalettin Şimşek.
